A few years ago, I set off on an incredible around the world adventure attempting to capture 15 countries with my iPhone 4S and my app, Camera+. I never got around to sharing all the behind the scenes videos, so I thought I would start now despite the slightly datedness of using an “ancient” iPhone model.

Going back through some of these shots made me realize how far we’ve come with the 5 and 6 series, but for me, the iPhone 4S was such a huge breakthrough and some of these photos are still really good. So hey, if you don’t have the moola for a new iPhone, then the one you’ve got or your kid’s hand-me-down is still pretty good.

I also realized that sometimes the best camera is the one you have with you and while I still adore my dSLR, shooting on the iPhone challenges me and makes me capture photos in a new exciting way. Plus, it’s about 30lbs lighter than my camera gear!

So tired
Seeing the wildlife of the Galapagos had always been on my bucket list, so I was pretty jazzed to be there. The only downside was I got really nauseous on the boat which we slept on for nearly 8 days. “I’m on a boat aaaand it’s going fast aaaannd I’m pukin’ all over the captaaainn”.
